I Love This and That: Washi flags

Washi flags

These flags turn an ordinary mini hamburger into a sophisticated meal... or a cup cake fit for a king. I made these flags for a sailor party last week.  They are just too cute!

To start off you need toothpicks and some washi tape {in RSA you can order online from washitape} and a bit of time

You start by folding the tape around the toothpick with the point just at the edge of the tape.  Make sure that you stick it back-to-back - you don't want some sticky bits on the sides

Then you cut it straight off the roll

You can leave it like this... alternatively cut a triangle out or cut the flag in the form of a triangle

A good idea is to also stick these flag onto a skewer and use it as a cocktail stirrer :-)
